About Me2

For most of the 1990s I worked for General Electric, implementing electronic communications projects.

Subsequently I worked for consultancies where my clients have included British Telecom, Cable & Wireless and many well-known City institutions.  Most recently I was involved in data management work for local authorities and police forces.

I

I have extensively taught groups and individuals, but I very much prefer to do one-to-one training, or to a very small group.  I have also taught technical skills to technical staff, to enable them to pass on the information.  It's called "training the trainer".

I totally believe in clear and informed advice, without resorting to the absurd computer jargon which does so much to confuse all except the few who live for buzz words and cryptic abbreviations.

I have developed a range of courses which I have tailored to the needs of various social and commercial groups.

I will explain in layman's terms the workings of the Internet and your PC, the various types of problems which exist, and how to avoid them, or to overcome them if they are encountered.  I will teach you how to achieve computer goals that you had in mind when you bought it.  A few hours could radically improve your business productivity.  Learning a few simple shortcuts could make it easier for you to guard your data, create presentable documents quicker, avoid viruses, reduce junk mail and so very much more.  I will tell you the things that your children would possibly not want you to know!!
